Professor Kita awarded a Franz Werfel Grant from the Austrian Exchange Service

Professor Caroline Kita has been awarded a Franz Werfel Grant from the Austrian Exchange Service.

She will spend the fall semester 2015 and summer 2016 in Vienna completing her book on Jewish biblical drama in Vienna around 1900. The Franz Werfel Grant is awarded to young university teachers whose work focuses on Austrian Literature. The grant program, which was initiated in 1992, allows scholars to work as visiting researchers at university departments and carry out specialist studies in libraries, archives or at research institutions. As a Werfel Fellow, she will be affiliated with the Department of Theater, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna and will be conducting research in the Austrian National Library's Theater Archive.
