Paul Michael Lützeler, the Rosa May Distinguished University Professor in the Humanities, gave keynote addresses in his areas of research (Contemporary, Exile, and Romantic Literature as well as on the literary discourse on Europe) in September and October at four conventions and symposia: Deutscher Germanistentag in Bayreuth, Annual meeting of the Gesellschaft für interkulturelle Germanistik in Prague, the annual Humboldt-Preistraeger meeting in Bonn, and at the conference "Puzzling Europe" at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
