Chi Chi Wang and Taylor Docking receive the David Bronsen Prize and the Achievement in German Prize
At this year's End of Year Awards Ceremony, accomplished alumni Chi Chi Wang and Taylor Docking received the department's prestigious David Bronsen Prize for Excellence in German Studies and the Achievement in German Prize, respectively.
The David Bronsen Prize, a monetary prize, is awarded to a graduating German major on the basis of excellent German language skills and superior academic achievement. The Achievement in German Prize, a book prize, is awarded to a graduating German major on the basis of overall excellence in German studies and extra-curricular involvement in departmental activities, such as Delta Phi Alpha and German Day. Taylor Docking, this year's recipient, was Delta Phi Alpha's president for the 2013-14 academic year and led an enthusiastic organization that coordinated successful programming throughout the year.
