Influential German film critic Hans Helmut Prinzler has named A New History of German Cinema his 2012 Film Book of the Year. Edited by Jennifer M. Kapczynski and Michael D. Richardson (Ithaca College), the book offers a dynamic, event-centered account of more than one hundred years of German film history, from the earliest days of the Kintopp to contemporary productions. The book appeared in September 2012 in Camden House's "Screen Cultures" series.
