Paul Michael Lützeler spent three months as a fellow at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) to study postcolonial German literature.
As a fellow, he also gave a lecture on the aspect of missionary work as portrayed in postcolonial novels, and he invited the writer Ilija Trojanow for a reading and a discussion of his novel "Der Weltensammler."
