We were saddened to hear the news that our former colleague, Sarah Westphal-Wihl, passed away on March 22 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Professor Westphal-Wihl, an expert in the history and theory of gender in medieval German culture, was an associate professor in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures from 2009 through 2013. A memorial service will be held in Flagstaff in April.
