Fack ju Göhte: Germanic Film Series

The spring 2020 Germanic Film Series sets out to explore various aspects of German humor. Do Germans and Austrians have a sense of humor? And, if so, what does that look like?

When bank robber Zeki Müller is released from prison, he learns that his friend has buried the money under a construction site which is now the new gym of the Goethe High School. In order to retrieve the money, he applies for the position of a janitor, but ends up being employed as a substitute teacher.

All films will be shown in German with English subtitles. Pizza, sodas, and snacks will be served, and a discussion will occur after the viewing.

Events are free and open to all of the WashU community!
