The newest (twelfth) volume of Gegenwartsliteratur. Ein germanistisches Jahrbuch/A German Studies Yearbook was published in October 2013. The focus is on the work of Peter Handke.
The issue also features individual articles on Günter Grass, Erwin Strittmatter, Dagmar Leupold, Theodor Fontane, Heinrich von Kleist, W.G. Sebald, and Marcel Beyer, in addition to twenty-one book reviews of recent works in German Studies.
