Seth Huntington is a St. Louis native and 2nd-year PhD student in Germanic Languages & Literatures at Washington University in St. Louis.
He graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2018 with bachelor's degrees in German and Japanese. While an undergraduate, he completed courses at both the University of Leipzig in Germany and Rikkyo University in Tokyo, Japan. Seth strives to bring a multilingual and multicultural approach to the study of German and German-language literature, while also examining those works through philosophical lenses such as Marxism, especially as these themes are used to meet political ends in the 20th- and 21st-centuries. In his free time, Seth likes to cook, bake, and spend time outdoors.
