She received a Fulbright Teaching Assistantship to teach Germany in 2014. In 2017, Rebecca received her master's degree in comparative literature from the University of Connecticut. She is interested in the relationship between food cultures and violence towards animals (such as hunting) as portrayed in German and American literature. In her free time, Rebecca likes to read, run, cook, and paint.
