Patricia completed her bachelor's degree in German and English at the Universität Stuttgart.
In 2014, she spent the academic year in the United States, taking courses at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After graduating from Stuttgart, Patricia returned to the University of Missouri to earn a master's degree in German. Following the completion of her degree, she taught German at Hermann High School, in Hermann, Missouri.
