Hilda graduated from Stockholm University in 2018 with master's degrees in history and education.

Starting off with a teaching education program, Hilda soon found out that she could combine her interests in history and languages with both research and teaching. After completing her bachelor's degree in history in 2013, she decided to pursue these interests and specialize in medieval history. In her master's thesis about marriage norms in the 14th and 15th centuries, Hilda explored German and French texts on marriage to reveal a secular discourse, parallel to the medieval theological discourse on marrage.

Hilda's language interest is closely linked to her passion for travel, and in 2008-09, she spent three semesters in Paris, learning French. Having previously learned German in school, Hilda continued with both languages at university. She has now decided to increase her knowledge of German language history and literature at Washington University, where she will also teach Swedish.
