Anna-Rebecca graduated from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich in 2013, with bachelor's degrees in German studies and philosophy.
In 2013-14, she was part of the LMU exchange program and received her master's degree at Washington University. Anna is now a PhD candidate in German as well as part of the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies certificate program. Her dissertation project is titled "Die Poetik der Abweichung: Menschen mit Behinderung und ihre Familien in der deutschen und österreichischen Literatur des 19. Jahrhunderts." Anna is specifically interested in the depiction of disability and families within literature with a particular focus on bodies and norms.
She was previously awarded the OeAD Franz-Werfel Fellowship and is currently doing research at the Brenner Archive in Innsbruck, Austria.
