The Connection between Psycholinguistic Research and Vocabulary Instruction - Foreign Language Learning Colloquium Speaker Series Workshop

This workshop focuses on the application of psycholinguistic lexical research to the second language classroom. Participants will be presented with several major findings related to the bilingual lexicon that have emerged over the past 20 years and be asked to generate possible applications of those finding to the L2 classroom. Participants will then be asked to evaluate a vocabulary intervention in terms of its ability to connect laboratory findings and meaningful vocabulary instruction.
